Entry Rules for Cameroon Citizens

Cameroon passport holders need a visa to enter Ukraine. For short trips, the standard option is a short-stay Type C visa, allowing up to 90 days within any 180-day period (tourism, business, private visits, cultural/sports events, and similar purposes).

Customs (Money, Goods, Medicines, Pets)

Green corridor (no written declaration, if within limits):

• Cash (UAH and foreign currency) up to €10,000 equivalent
• Medicines (non-narcotic/non-psychotropic): generally up to 5 packages per medicine per person

Red corridor (written declaration required): goods requiring permits, cultural values, securities/payment documents, controlled medicines (narcotic/psychotropic/precursors), and goods exceeding €500 or 50 kg. Keep receipts; customs may assess value if documents are missing.

Prohibited imports: narcotic/psychotropic substances, explosives, toxic substances, certain foods without certification, materials promoting violence/racism/war or pornography, unidentified animals, wanted cultural property, and weapons (including gas sprays) without the required permit.

Export rules: goods under €10,000 total value can usually be exported without a written declaration. Exports above €10,000 require declaration and may involve duties. Some categories (cultural/historical values, weapons/ammunition, controlled substances, certain foods/medicines) are restricted or prohibited.

Traveling with pets: pets must have an ISO 11784/11785 microchip, a valid rabies vaccination after microchipping, and an official health certificate issued within 10 days before travel (certified by the competent authority in the country of departure).

Driving in Ukraine

Ukraine has right-hand traffic. Carry your driver’s license and vehicle registration documents. Seat belts are mandatory for the driver and front passenger.

Children in cars: children under 12 must use seat belts and an appropriate child restraint; children cannot ride in the front seat without a child seat. Children over 12 must wear seat belts.

Checkpoints: slow down, prepare documents, follow instructions, and allow inspection if requested. Turn off and remove dashcams from the windshield and avoid using your phone while passing through.
